  • NJHS Induction Ceremony - 7:00

  • Crazy Sock Day (with College T)
  • Locker clean out -- students will bring all materials home. Anything they need for the last week of school will be supplied by teachers.
  • Please give your students guidelines for any remaining materials (donate or bring home).
  • Assigned locks must be on assigned lockers. There will be a $10 fee for any missing or broken locks.
  • Last OSA at 10:00 
  • Please email Front Desk before 9 AM if you plan to pick up your student from the OSA.

Tuesday, May 29
  • 5th, 6th and 7th normal schedule (8th running field day)
  • 5th, 6th and 7th school uniform day
  • 8th Grade athletic wear
  • grades are submitted
  • 8th grade graduation - 7:00
Wednesday, May 30
  • Valleyfair for 6th-8th students
  • non-uniform (can wear any footwear and do not need socks, no spaghetti straps, short shorts, crop tops, or swimsuits)
Thursday, May 31
  • last day of school :( 
  • middle school field day
  • athletic wear for 5-8 students
  • end of day changes must be to Front Desk by 2:45 as all K-7 students will be loading buses by 3:15 for 8th grade send-off (buses/carline should be running normal schedule)

Important End of Year Dates

21-25 Spirit Week Attire 
M- comfy clothes/PJ’s
T- genre day- dress in a genre of music, history, fashion trends, etc.
W- Sports day (hats are allowed)  
Th- throw it back to the 80’s 
F- Funky socks! Add some fun to your outfit. The crazier, the better! 

*socks required everyday. Attire must be school appropriate.

May 17 - Choir Concert @ 7:00pm

May 22nd - Band Concert @ 7:00pm

May 24th - NJHS Ceremony @ 7:00pm

May 25th - Locker clean-out day
Students are encouraged to start cleaning out their lockers as the end of the year approaches. There will be time provided on May 25th during the school day. Teachers will assist with returning missing CA Textbooks/books and checking students lockers during this initial clean-out. 

May 29th - 8th Grade Graduation @ 7:00pm

ALL CA Textbooks/Books need to be collected before the last day of school to avoid a fine.

Happy Spring! Since cinco de mayo falls on a Saturday this year, the middle school Spanish classes will be celebrating with some food, videos, and outside time on Thursday and Friday! Many students signed up to bring food in to class these days - GRACIAS/THANK YOU to everyone who is contributing to our fiesta!

Relay for Life Non-uniform on May 4th- $2 non-uniform pants, $4 non-uniform pants and top,$5 non-uniform pants, top and hat: school appropriate, thanks! (Money due by the 4th)
Middle School Bash on May 11th. Please email me if your child can stay for the bash. 3:30-5:50 outside. Only money that needed is for food. Children not picked up by 5:30 will go to Clubhouse.
Science MCA for 5th grade: May 1st and 2nd
1st and 2nd hour
Wordly Wise 20 due on the 4th
We are reading Merchant of Venice (no homework)
Science MCA’s and creating a wetland diorama (shoe boxes needed)

A reminder-spaghetti dinner is on Friday from 5-7 at the Cologne Community Center (next door to CA).  This an event you do not want to miss!  

All are welcome to this family event- family-friendly pricing, too.  Tickets are purchased online.

The Silent Auction is open for bidding on many amazing teacher experiences as well as many cool baskets and other items and services.
