OSA on Friday, April 27
Please be sure to email the front desk if you plan to pick your child up directly from the OSA on Friday. They will send out an email to staff to let us know to have your child bring their end of day items with them so that they can leave with you.

Fort Snelling
This field trip is on May 8th from 8:45 - 2:00. Cost is $14 per student and should be paid on Boonli. Students will need to pack a bag lunch, and wear their college Tshirt with uniform pants/socks/shoes. Depending on the weather they may want a light jacket and/or sunscreen as a lot of the field trip is outdoors. Please be sure you also have completed the Google Forms permission slip. Permission slip and payment are due May 3.
Boonli directions:
To "order" the Field trip
1. Log into your Boonli account
2. Change the month to May
3. Select "6th Grade Field Trips" or "7th grade Field Trips" depending on your child's grade
4. Select "May 8" as the calendar date
5. Select the student attending the field trip (if you have multiple CA students)
6. Field trip will pop up and with one click will be added to their cart. (note: the permission slip is linked to the Boonli page as a Google form and if they click on the ⓘ it will pop up for them to fill out.)
7. Proceed with check-out in Boonli (items left in your cart are not paid for).
End of Year Field Trip to Valleyfair
Information has been sent from the front desk regarding the end of year trip to Valleyfair with all of the middle school students. If you cannot find the email, here is the information...
To pay for the Field trip in Boonli:
1. Log into your Boonli account at www.boonli.com
2. Change the month to May
3. Select Your Child's Grade Level Field Trip Tab
4. Select "May 30" as the calendar date
5. Select the student in that grade attending the field trip (if you have multiple CA students)
6. Field trip will pop up and with one click will be added to their cart. (note: the permission slip is linked to the Boonli page as a Google form, if you click on the ⓘ it will pop up for you to fill out.)
7. If you have multiple children, you will need to complete steps 3-6 for each child.
8. Proceed with check-out in Boonli (You must check out to complete your transaction; items left in your cart are not paid for).
7th Grade Writing:
Students are starting the persuasive essay. They will have a very detailed and specific process to follow that will help them with other papers they will write in the future, especially as they move into high school. They will explore a controversial issue, take a stance on the issue, and develop arguments, and research to support them. This is a difficult paper, but students are always so proud when they finish. They will work on this paper every day in class, and it will take them to the end of the school year to complete.
8th Grade Writing:

8th Grade History:
Our current focus is on world history where students will study a variety of topics that range from the rise and fall of the British Empire to contemporary historical events. The last unit of study will focus on world geography where students will get a view of geographical locations and land forms through the eyes of wildlife.
